Age Groups

With four age groups, we make it enjoyable for all Jewish youth. Many programs will be geared towards one age group. There are times we combine age groups extra fun and engagement.

Matchilim

Kindergarten through 2nd Grade

Matchilim meets once a month, on a Sunday between 12-1:30pm. All programs are social with a twist of Jewish culture thrown in. Matchilim is an introduction to what the next few years of Youth Group will be for your child.

PreKadima

3rd through 5th Grade

Pre Kadima meets twice a month, on a Tuesday and/or a Sunday. Tuesday meetings will be between 7-8:15 pm and Sunday meeting times vary. Activities range from silly to educational, always with an element of Jewish culture and lots of fun!

Kadima

6th through 8th Grade

Kadima will meet two-three times a month, generally on Tuesdays between 7-8:30pm. Please look for information for schedule changes, as Kadima sometimes has joint programs with our USY group which will fall on a Wednesday.

USY

9th through 12th Grade

USY meets three-four times a month, generally on Wednesdays between 7-8:30
pm. USY encourages leadership while cultivating Jewish values combined with fun!

Our programming includes social, informal Jewish education, social action, Tikun Olam, leadership training, Israel awareness, and the opportunity to make lifelong friendships. Kadima and USY elect officers annually who work with the Youth Director, Diana Silver, to plan events and run the chapter. The congregation’s Youth Commission direct youth programs and oversees the advisors of USY, Kadima, Pre Kadima, and Matchilim.
